I hired Imperial Hardwood Flooring (aka IHF) St. Catharines to supply and install hardwood flooring. They matched the new floor with hardwood that we presently have which is over 10 years old. The owner Jurgen is a very very reasonable person to deal with. Great communication skills. Jurgen popped in to see me while install was in progress to make sure I was happy. The install team was very professional and did a great job, they took the time to make sure subfloor was secure and added screws for good measure to avoid any potential squeaks or pops. Very meticulous and attention to detail. They kept my house clean throughout the install. Floor seams are all tight, there cuts and staggering is perfect. Final product turned out amazing. IHF recycled my old carpet, they cut it to size, added padding and binded the edges to make a large area rug so our young children can play with there toys without damaging new floor. For a marginal cost, IHF saved me hundreds and hundreds of dollars from buying a 13′ x 11′ area rug. Kudos!! to the staff at IHF. I highly recommend IHF, great staff with quality products and installation. Keep up the good work. Two thumbs up!

We had vinyl laminate flooring installed by Imperial in 3 bedrooms of our home. Jurgen came over shortly after our initial call to provide his opinion regarding refinishing or replacement of existing hardwood floors. Because of the condition of the old hardwood, we went along with his suggestion to lay the vinyl laminate that we’d chosen over the old hardwood. We are glad we did. The crew arrived on time and the work on all 3 rooms was completed in just a little over 2 hours. This consisted also of removal of old baseboard and installation of new in all 3 rooms, including closets. The closet doors did not need to be shaved and all went back into place perfectly. The crews were organized, professional, and careful throughout the process, from start to final clean-up. We are very happy with our new floors and the quality of work performed. We will not hesitate to call on Imperial for any & all other renovation work that needs to be done in our home.

I Would Use IHF Again

In the summer, we moved to St Catharines and before moving into our older home Jurgen’s team came and refinished our oak floor and install some new laminate flooring and installed some new carpeting in a family room.The work was great and the team left everything clean and tidy. After moving in – we had IHF back to renovate a Bathroom and closet. Both required a complete gutting. Jurgen pulled together a team of specialist to complete the various tasks and worked hard to keep us informed as to who would be there on which day. While the project took awhile to complete – the finished product, which also included the addition of a window – look like it belongs in a magazine. Some months after the work was all completed and paid – we had an issue with the glass shower door and it was solved by the team very quickly with no fuss at all. We are enjoying the bathroom and the closet everyday and I would use IHF again.
